  19. We design our interface using a proprietary visual interface editor.
  20. The German version is created by translating the program with this
  21. editor, which affords the translator the opportunity to modify the
  22. requester layouts for the localized strings.

  24. Another good reason not to use catalogs is to help overseas publishers
  25. protect their markets. It might sound silly, but gray imports are a
  26. big problem for local publishers, and we've had publishers beg us
  27. not to release a version with catalogs. This is one reason why
  28. non-commercial software authors are more excited about locale than
  29. commercial software houses.
